5565 Reflective Memory Features and Advantages
Features:
(1) VMIC reflective memory is a technology that provides data transmission between interconnected computers via a local area network, increasingly adopted by real-time network designers. The concept of VMIC reflective memory real-time LAN is simple: design a network memory board to achieve memory-to-memory communication in distributed systems without software overhead. Each node machine is equipped with a reflective memory card featuring dual-port memory. Various software layers can read from and write to this memory. When data is written to the memory of one machine's reflective memory card, it is automatically transmitted via fiber optics to the memory of other reflective memory cards on the network. Typically, within a few hundred nanoseconds, all reflective memory cards will contain the same data. Members access data by simply reading from the local reflective memory card.
(2) Reflective memory cards - Real-time Simulation Technology Network, in collaboration with domestic universities and research institutes including the 8th Institute of CETC, the 5th Academy of Aerospace, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Harbin Institute of Technology, has conducted a series of application research, testing, and development, particularly for PMC5565. Especially in hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation systems, reflective memory cards have become standard. Their principles are easy to understand, usage is simple, they offer strong anti-interference capabilities, high real-time performance, support interrupt transmission, require minimal software development code, have strong expansion capabilities, and numerous application cases. They shorten system development cycles, reduce personnel costs, enhance system robustness, free software developers from complex communication protocols, and eliminate concerns about bandwidth for large-scale data transmission and uncertain delays. Reflective memory cards are also used in industrial control sectors including rail transit, metallurgy, and power system simulation.
(3) With the increase in chip integration, reflective memory cards have also become more integrated, offering stable and reliable performance with transmission distances up to 10KM (single mode). In collaboration with the 8th Institute of CETC, we promote domestic research on real-time communication technology for reflective memory networks, offering reflective memory solutions based on PCI bus reflective memory cards with 128-512MB onboard memory, 2.5G transmission rates, compatible with GE5565 series reflective memory cards. We provide complete driver source code and application example code, along with on-site technical support. After extensive testing in some hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems, these products have been delivered. Future plans include launching PMC interface and CPCI interface reflective memory cards, with options for customized development, integrating reflective memory modules into customer boards.

As the complexity of simulation experiments increases, there is a need for remote interconnection of equipment across multiple buildings and laboratories. Single-mode fiber and fiber hubs connect distant laboratory equipment, with single-mode fiber supporting transmission distances up to 10km. The integrated experimental control system monitors the connection and operational status of devices at each hub port, enabling remote control and bypass of any node in the fiber optic network.
